Prevention

Surely make replacement of all blocks on one axis of the car, even if the limit of wear were reached by one block. If blocks are repeatedly established, before removal they need to be marked.

During the work of brake shoes brake dust which contains asbestos, unhealthy is formed. Therefore when cleaning brake shoes do not use compressed air and do not inhale dust.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the relevant party of the car and record on supports. Remove a wheel. If replacement of brake shoes on back brakes is made, release the emergency brake.
2. Pump out two thirds of brake fluid from a popolnitelny tank of the main brake cylinder. It is necessary in order that at cave-in of the piston in the brake cylinder brake fluid did not pour out from a popolnitelny tank.
3. Before works clear brake knot with use of special liquid.
4. Using a G-shaped clip, press the piston into the support cylinder.
5. Unscrew the lower directing finger and turn a support round the top directing finger up.
6. Remove an external brake shoe together with laying.
7. Remove an internal brake shoe together with laying.
8. Remove the lower spring of an anti-tinkling sound.
9. Remove the top spring of an anti-tinkling sound.
10. Check a condition of the directing fingers and with defects replace them.
11. Check a condition of dustproof covers of the directing fingers.
12. Apply a layer of high-temperature greasing on the directing fingers.
13. Apply the structure interfering vibration of brake shoes on a basic surface of new brake shoes.
14. Establish internal laying on a brake shoe.
15. Establish external laying on a brake shoe.
16. Establish laying on an external brake shoe and apply a layer of the means interfering vibration of brake shoes on laying.
17. Establish the lower spring of an anti-tinkling sound.
18. Establish the top spring of an anti-tinkling sound.
19. Establish external and internal brake shoes.
20. Establish a support and fix it bolts.
21. Replacement of back brake shoes on disk brakes is made similarly.
22. Several times press a brake pedal that brake shoes nestled on a brake disk. Check the level of brake fluid in a tank.
