GENERAL INFORMATION

The transmission will transform the torque transferred from the engine in size and the direction. It is necessary for ensuring optimum speed and passability of the car, and also for the most economic operation of the engine and the movement of the car as a backing. On SUBARU cars five-step completely synchronized transmission is established. The transmission consists of several knots bolted together and represents separate assembly. Assembly of a transmission consists of a case of coupling, the main case in which the differential and a transmission and a back case are placed. On models 4WD the back case has extension where the driveshaft connects to the conducted transmission shaft.

Because of complexity of the device and need of use of special adaptations repair of a mechanical transmission in house conditions is not recommended to be made.
