8.1.6. Removal and installation of a transmission

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Open a cowl and record it in open situation.
2. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
3. If on the car the hummock drive of coupling is installed, disconnect a coupling cable. If on the car the hydraulic drive of coupling is installed, separate the working cylinder of coupling from a transmission.

Prevention

Do not press a coupling pedal after removal of the working cylinder of coupling from a transmission.

4. Remove a forward support (see rice. Details of the lever of gear shifting of models 4WD). Instead of a forward support it is recommended to install the special tool for adjustment of a tilt angle of the engine for simplification of removal of a transmission. In the absence of the special tool it is necessary to use a jack slightly to raise forward part of the engine
5. Mark and disconnect electric sockets from a transmission.
6. Remove a starter.
7. Unscrew the top right bolt of fastening of a transmission to the engine.
8. Lift the car and record on supports. Merge oil from a transmission.
9. Remove the elements of an exhaust system interfering removal of a transmission.
10. Unscrew the tire of grounding of a transmission.
11. Disconnect a speedometer drive cable on the right side of a transmission.
12. On models 4WD remove the driveshaft.
13. Disconnect draft of the shock-absorber, a spring and draft of gear shifting from a transmission.
14. Disconnect hinges of power shafts from a transmission.
15. Prop up a transmission a jack.
16. Unscrew and remove forward, central and back beams.
17. Unscrew two lower nuts of fastening of a transmission to the engine.
18. Using the special tool installed instead of a forward support or using a jack, raise forward part of the engine so that the back part of the engine was at an angle down. Move a transmission from the engine to take an entrance shaft of a transmission from a coupling disk nave, and slowly lower a transmission.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Apply a thin film of universal greasing on grooves of an entrance shaft of a transmission. Raise a transmission and combine it with the engine.
2. Slowly moving a transmission to the engine, insert an entrance shaft of a transmission into a coupling disk nave. Screw the lower nuts of fastening of a transmission on the engine.
3. Establish back, central and forward beams and fix bolts and nuts.
4. Remove the jack supporting a transmission.
5. Attach power shafts to a transmission.
6. Establish draft of the shock-absorber and draft of gear shifting on a transmission.
7. On models 4WD install the driveshaft.
8. Establish the elements of an exhaust system removed earlier.
9. Connect electric sockets of the sensor of oxygen, the switch of light of a backing and the switch of neutral provision of a transmission.
10. Connect a speedometer drive cable.
11. Lower the car.
12. Establish the top bolt of fastening to the engine and tighten it the demanded moment.
13. Establish a starter.
14. Remove the special tool and establish a forward support.
15. Connect the grounding tire to a transmission.
16. Establish a cable of coupling and adjust a free wheeling of a cable or install the working cylinder of coupling on a transmission.
17. Connect a weight wire to the accumulator.
18. Fill in oil in a transmission.
