9.4.1. Forward power shaft

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take off a decorative cap of a wheel.
2. Using a drift, unbend the fixing fillet of a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.
3. Weaken, but do not unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.

Prevention

Do not unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave if wheels of the car stand on the earth as in this case bearings of a nave will be damaged.


4. Lift forward part of the car and record on supports. Remove a wheel.
5. Unscrew a nut, the fixing steering thirst for a rotary fist and, using a stripper of spherical hinges, remove steering draft from a rotary fist.
6. Unscrew tightening a bolt, the fixing lower lever of a suspension bracket to a rotary fist.
7. Using a flat chisel or an edge of a screw-driver as a wedge, unclench a clip of the spherical hinge in the lower part of a rotary fist.
8. Using the lever, move the lower lever of a suspension bracket for extraction of the spherical hinge from a rotary fist down.
9. Unscrew a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.
10. Take away a nave from the car and take the external end of a power shaft from a nave.
11. If the power shaft densely sits in a nave, temporarily screw a nut of a nave and, using a hammer, beat out a power shaft from a nave, at the same time tightening car wheels outside.
12. By means of the corresponding drift beat out a cylindrical pin, the fixing power shaft to a transmission.
13. Remove the internal hinge of a power shaft from a transmission shaft.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, the return to removal.
2. Grease shaft vents with greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide.
3. Tighten all nuts and bolts the demanded moment.
4. Replace a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.
