8.2.5. Cable of a choice of transfers

Check

When the gear shifting lever in the car moves from situation N to other provisions, he has to move smoothly and precisely in each situation, and the index of provision of the included transfer has to specify exact situation. If indications of the index do not coincide with the correct position of the lever of gear shifting, adjust a cable of a choice of transfers as follows:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check that the lever of gear shifting is installed in neutral situation.

2. Check that the engine can be started only in position of the lever of gear shifting of NEUTRAL or PARK.

3. Check that lamps of a backing light up at inclusion of a reverse gear.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the gear shifting lever in neutral situation.
2. Lift the car and record on supports.
	3. On the lower end of the lever of gear shifting weaken a back nut of adjustment of a cable.
4. Move a gear shifting lever cable so that the lever on a transmission could move to all provisions freely.
	5. Install the lever of a choice of transfers on a transmission to neutral situation, having moved it against the stop forward, then on two clicks back (the directions are specified by shooters).
	6. Rotate a forward nut on a cable until it does not concern the lower part of the lever of gear shifting (the direction is specified by an arrow) then tighten a back nut, having tightened it the demanded moment.
7. Check operation of the lever of gear shifting.
8. Lower the car.
