GENERAL INFORMATION

Check of resistance of the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft

Sensors represent a magnet, from above on which the coil with a wire is installed. The steel disk established on cranked and distributive to a shaft has teeths at which passing about a magnet of the sensor the electric impulse in the sensor is created. The signal of the sensor is used by the ESM block for definition of provision of a cranked shaft and speed of the car. For check of the sensor it is necessary to measure sensor winding resistance.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
For check of the operational mode of the sensor remove the sensor from the car, connect the voltmeter to contacts of the sensor and, turning the sensor drive, watch indications of the voltmeter. Fluctuations of indications of the voltmeter show that the sensor creates electromagnetic impulses.
