14.1.9. Ignition lock

GENERAL INFORMATION

The lock of ignition and condition of contacts on the socket at various provisions of a key in the ignition lock

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the lower casing of a steering column.
	2. Unscrew screws and remove a steel protective plate from the lower part of a steering column.
	3. Disconnect the electric socket of the lock of ignition.
4. Using an ohmmeter, check a condition of contacts of the lock of ignition depending on position of the ignition key (see rice. The lock of ignition and a condition of contacts on the socket at various provisions of a key in the ignition lock).

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Remove a casing of a steering column.
	3. Unscrew screws and remove a steel protective plate from the lower part of a steering column.
4. Disconnect the electric socket of the lock of ignition.
	5. Unscrew the screw fixing contact group of the lock of ignition to a lock cylinder casing.
6. Take contact group of the lock of ignition of a casing.
	7. Unscrew the bolts fixing an ignition lock cylinder casing.
8. Installation is made in sequence, the return to removal.
9. Thus it is necessary to use new bolts with the cut-off head for fastening of a casing of the cylinder of the lock of ignition.
